Searching Forms

The quickest way to navigate through an entity’s forms is to use the forms search bar. Here, you can search for forms based on specific search parameters.

Folder or Form Title: This search will show forms and form folders containing a string you type into the search bar.

Form Tag: You can pull forms and folders based on tags that have been assigned to them.

Form Element: This option provides search capabilities for different form fields or elements. For example, if we search for “exotic fruit,” this will pull instances of the field across different forms. You can then click any of those elements and jump to the location in the form where it resides. Additionally, you can export this list of elements (including their locations and other attributes) in a C S V or Excel file.

Replace: This allows you to locate a specific phrase or piece of evidence in a form entry and replace it with another. When you do this, you will be given a list of occurrences of the phrase and be asked for confirmation of the action. This cannot be undone.

Form Entry Data: This option provides tools to find specific information within form entries. You can type a string into the search bar and search using some delimiters:

  • Match Any Words: This will find instances of one or more of the search terms within forms. For example, if you search for “the big red car,” it will find instances of any of the words in this phrase.
  • Match All Words: Requires a direct match of the entire phrase you’re searching for, but without the need for them to be in sequential order. So, for example, if you search for “The big red car,” you’ll find phrases containing these words, but not necessarily in the same order.
  • Contains Phrase: Searches for exact matches to your phrase within data.
  • Matches Exactly: Finds any data entry that contains your search phrase alone (no other data included).
  • Regex: Allows you to search for data using advanced Regular Expressions.
