Back to: New Continuum GRC Contract Employees Onboarding
Welcome to Lazarus Alliance
Welcome to Lazarus Alliance. In this section of your onboarding, we will introduce you to Google Workspace—a suite of tools you will use daily to collaborate, manage client information, and stay organized throughout your projects.
Google Workspace Overview
Google Workspace is a cloud-based productivity and collaboration platform designed to help teams communicate efficiently and work seamlessly from anywhere. You can access all Workspace applications using your Lazarus Alliance Google account by navigating to the Google Apps menu—the nine-dot grid located at the top-right corner of your Gmail window.
Core Applications
Gmail
Gmail serves as your primary email platform for sending, receiving, and organizing communication. It includes advanced features such as labels, filters, and search functions to help you manage correspondence effectively.
Google Drive
Google Drive is our secure cloud storage system where you will upload, access, organize, and share client-related files.
At Lazarus Alliance:
- Access to the Client Archives folder is restricted and granted only by our CEO, Michael Peters, or our COO, Anna Dickerson.
- Any documents or tools used outside of the Continuum GRC platform must be uploaded directly to the Client Archives folder and shared with Project Management immediately.
- Client data should never be stored on personal drives unless explicitly approved by the CEO or COO. Any approved external storage links must be shared with Project Management.
Drive ensures that all project documents remain properly secured and accessible to the appropriate team members.
Google Chat
Google Chat is used for real-time communication within Lazarus Alliance.
- Each client project will have its own dedicated Chat group, created specifically for collaboration among project team members.
- You may also message individuals or create additional groups as needed.
This allows quick communication and fast access to your team.
Google Meet
Google Meet is our video conferencing tool for hosting and attending virtual meetings.
Please ensure you have your Lazarus Alliance branded backgrounds enabled for all client-facing calls.
Google Calendar
Google Calendar helps you schedule meetings, set reminders, and coordinate availability.
You will need to subscribe to two primary calendars:
- Client Calendar: Contains all active client meetings scheduled by Project Management.
- Working Review Calendar: Used for internal meetings with your assessment team to prepare before client-facing sessions.
You are responsible for creating Working Review meetings for your project team. If you need assistance, Project Management will be happy to help.
All client meetings are scheduled and managed by Project Management—please contact them for any changes or cancellations.
Productivity Tools
Google Docs
Google Docs is our collaborative word-processing tool used to create, edit, and share documents with your team.
Google Sheets
Google Sheets functions like Microsoft Excel and is used for organizing data, performing calculations, and managing information across projects.
Google Slides
Google Slides is our presentation software, similar to PowerPoint.
One of your responsibilities at Lazarus Alliance is to prepare a Weekly Project Agenda using a PowerPoint or Slides format. Please refer to the Weekly Project Agenda training video for more detailed guidance.
Google Forms
Google Forms allows you to create forms, surveys, and information-gathering tools to support various project needs.
How it All Works Together
In summary, Google Workspace is an essential part of your daily operations at Lazarus Alliance. These tools allow you to communicate effectively, collaborate with your team, and securely manage all client-related information. As you begin your onboarding journey, becoming comfortable with Gmail, Drive, Chat, Meet, Calendar, and the productivity suite—Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms—will help ensure your success in delivering high-quality work to our clients.
